The Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation is organising a digital conference Feminist Peace, addressing women and feminist organisations’ role in peacebuilding and conflict transformation.
Together with representatives from women’s and feminist organisations, including feminist activists from the Western Balkans, the EU and Ukraine, we will be discussing the anti-gender movement which has been on the rise in recent years. This will include offering strategies to counter the trend and providing alternative narratives to societal divisions and tensions, including war narratives.
The aim is to provide recommendations on how solidarity and movement building can effectively respond to peacebuilding challenges.
Representatives of UN agencies, EU and the OSCE will be invited to take part in the conference and provide their contribution.
The event will be in English.
Simultaneous interpretation will be provided in English, B/H/S, Albanian and Macedonian. Conference contents (visual, spoken, written) will be used for Kvinna till Kvinna communication channels including for broad media outreach.
